Go Forth!

OOOft I really enjoyed playing with my photo app to confuse myself with the bridge and its railings, its kinda like one of those magic art pics where if you stare long enough, you might see a dolphin or something...Sorry no dolphins here though.

So this was a cheeky date night that I wasn't really prepared for but threw on a bright floral blazer and all was saved.  I got this blazer in the Zara sale a while back. I will always stand by the statement that you can never go wrong with a Zara blazer, well any blazer for that matter. Zara sure do know how to tailor and if its in the sale, win win, may as well get two eh? God, I need to stop with that attitude!

The basic t-shirt dress, again you can't go wrong. It also sits nicely under your boobs so when the inevitable over-eat happens at dinner you can be beautifully covered with no pain! Great!

Been Around the World and I, I....I'm Sorry!

Ok guys... I am sorry. I literally fell off the face of the earth! Well almost. I basically got a pretty amazing job. Im a TV presenter but have mainly been doing corporate online videos... but last month I was whisked off to present my own travel show around Europe! I was filming for an Indian company, so It'll be all over India, but also online and they are hoping it'll hit the UK.

It was all very last minute, I had to pack a case for 30 days with different outfits for the different activities I would be doing.
In total we filmed loads of different parts of Bulgaria, Budapest, Prague, Berlin and Brussels!
It really was an incredible trip, but I had not a minute to spare, we worked all the time! I was exhausted so not even a thought of getting outfit shots and blogs.  So now I'm safely home, I'm back, and I vow to hit up my blog big time!

Also London Fashion Week had just kicked in, what more of a boot up the bum to get inspired by funky street style and amazing new collections!

Below are some pics of my trip, there aren't a huge amount as every minute was literally a crazy mad rush but hopefully you get the feel of some of the show.

Right, next post I promise will be back to all things fashion....oooft its cold out, bring on the chunky knits and statement coats for winter baby!

ICE ICE BABY

I forbid you to read that title and not go into full song! Dum dum dum duduh deh dah!

So this was taken on a super-dooper trip to Iceland! That country is AMAZING! If you ever get the chance to go, do it!! It is so incredibly beautiful. It has a lot of the awesome things Scotland has...but better!

These photos were taken at the Blue Lagoon which is a natural spring of sulphur water.  It is the most amazing colour of milky blue and the best part is, it is all natural.  The one (perceived) down side is that the sulphur has quite a distinct smell, so you feel like there are warm eggy sandwiches around you at all times! But once you get over that, the place is truly amazing!
It was pretty cold when we were there but the sun shone most days, and please excuse the cheeky wind that decided to dance with my hair, but I feel it just adds to the pics.  I love the colour of the scenery here, no Instagram necessary for this bad boy, all natural.

My coat is an ebay purchase from China, I had to get it in a large as their sizes are teeny! So try not to be put off by that! My trusty boots are Topshop and my shades which make me feel as cool as a cucumber are RayBan Wayfarers!

If you live in the UK, EasyJet are doing cheap flights to Iceland, but a word of warning....its not so cheap when you get there....ie £5 for a bottle of coke!

So so worth it though!! x

Leopard Pants

I am totally digging these leggings from H&M.  They are super snug and not too thin although I did feel safer wearing a top that covered my bum.  Nothing worse than the thin legging bum for all to see.  There is quite a lot going on with the leggings so I wore this simple sleeveless blouse and a statement necklace.  And yes.... I should have ironed my shirt, but I'm really not a fan of that and on the odd occasion I do treat my clothes to a little heat treatment, they wrinkle within minutes of leaving the house anyway.
My trusty boots from Topshop were the perfect addition and I was having a lazy hair day hence the messy top-knot.
Hope you are all well and enjoying what glimmers of sun you may be getting! x

Topshop Jonis

So I went and got me some Jonis, only about 100 years later than everyone else! But the rumours are true, they are the best things in the world EVER! So snug and slick but have that stretch too so plenty room for lunges! They are really high wasted which is perfect as any top will sit flush over them.
The sun was popping its little face out so I put on my skyscraper open toe wedges from Matalan, a nice little blazer to smarten the look and this really cute coral top from H&M (which I believe is in the sale at the mo, so go!!)
Also not forgetting a pop of colour from my faux YSL Arty ring.  I love the colour in the stone and I reckon it would really go with any outfit to mix it up a little on the colour pallet.

Colour Clash

I absolutely love this colour block dress from Dorothy Perkins!
I was away for the weekend with the BF and we stayed in a beautiful hotel near to Loch Lomond.  On the Saturday night we treated ourselves to a lovely meal, cue reason to get dressed up and put on falsies...woohoo!  We really did treat ourselves with the steak and lobster mains, but you know, when in Rome an all that!

Anyway I actually bought this dress about a year ago and as I recall it was only about £25! Score.  Its the prefect fit for a dinner date to hide any food babies that may appear through the course of the evening.
Again because I was all bout those Matalan wedges that weekend, they seemed the perfect choice to transform me from midget to...well not so midget.  Also still loving my faux Michael Kors watch and H&M chunky chain to add a bit of bling bling.

Aztec Dream

So this cutie Aztec number is a total cheapie from H&M. It's kind of a swimwear throw over thing so it's really see through, but pop a little black vest on underneath and you are good to go. It also looks great with skinny jeans but the sun was out so I braved it bare legged!
I really love the print on this dress, I think H&M had a few other pieces that were in this print but I controlled myself and just stuck to this one.
I was using a nice little envelope vintage handbag that weekend, its a great little find, you can come across plenty beautiful vintage leather bags in charity shops and carboot sales for next to nothing. The vintage shops pick out some of the best but then you start to pay top dollar for those bad boys. But on the grand scheme of things it's still usually a good price.
I was also rocking my awesome Matalan wedges, I feel so giant in them which I just love, and a wee statement necklace from Dorothy Perkins. Hope the sun pops out a little more so we can all get a bit more flesh on show!

Maxi-tastic

So it was my beautiful friends wedding the other weekend and this is what I wore. I really couldn't decide between a few options that I had and again old Dotty P's popped up with this bad boy! I cant take full credit for the find, my good friend works dressing the mannequins in Outfit and I was headed straight into the Topshop section when he pulled this one out and was like try it! So I did and I loved it! I still don't think the photos quite did the dress justice, it really was very flattering and soo comfortable. And a bargain at £36!
I went really minimal with the jewellery as there is so much going on with the dress. I love the boho feel to it and topped it off with some retro sunnies. Don't worry I didn't keep them on for the wedding or anything, I'm not always cutting about like Im some hot shot celebrity (but a girl can dream.)
The wedding was beautiful and I'm so glad I went with this dress as someone was wearing a dress very similar to my other option and it's always annoying when people are like oooo look your dresses pretty much the same! Grr it just means we are super stylish!
Also randomly in these photos it looks like I have massive ginger roots... I don't... Honest.

Stripey stipe stripe

So this cute little number believe it or not is from Dorothy Perkins! Good old Dotty P's really knocked it out the park with this one! It really feels like a French Connection dress, now I don't know if I'm just saying that because I feel a little French in it but I just love love love it and I know it's going to get a lot of outings this summer. I paired it up with this little cream blazer to give it quite a smart look (we were staying in a swanky hotel and I was doing my best to fit in) although I obviously robbed them of all their shampoo and biscuits.
The gold chain is from H&M and it's so gangsta is scares me, I've been wearing it with everything! And of course my Matalan wedge beauties which are massive but soo comfortable! A little treat of a summer outfit I think! X
